The Apple Loft rooms offer modern, stylish accommodation right in the heart of Ambleside. With contemporary finishes and little extras you’ll feel right at home during your stay.
As the name suggests the Apple Loft is situated upstairs above our family run Café and Bakery, The Apple Pie. Here you can enjoy one of the best and most varied breakfast menus in Ambleside. Whilst breakfast is not included in our room prices, for the duration of your stay you will receive a 10% discount on any Apple Pie purchases you make. The Apple Pie also serves a delicious selection of cakes, sandwiches, pies and pasties all baked fresh and on site; pop in for breakfast, lunch or grab something to takeaway.
Our location couldn’t be more perfect for enjoying and exploring all the Lake District has to offer. In the centre of Ambleside, we are only a short walk from a variety of great pubs, restaurants, bars and shops. Surrounded by the Lake District mountains, many of the popular walking and hiking routes are right on our doorstep.
Less than 5 minutes walk out of town takes you to the nearest bus stop. From here it is only a short journey to visit some of the Lake District’s most iconic places, such as Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum in Grasmere or the stunning views of Lake Windermere.
We are located right next door to the famous Old Bridge House, some of our rooms even have a birds eye view of this quirky landmark. We have some of the finest views in Ambleside of the Fairfield horseshoe, this combined with our proximity to the the hub of Ambleside town centre makes The Apple Loft a must stay for the Lake District.

Room 1 is a King size room, with en suite shower room, smart TV, a fridge and space for a cot or folding bed suitable for a child. This room has stunning views of the Old Bridge House and panorama of the Fairfield horseshoe.
Room 32
Room 2 is a double size room, with en suite shower room, smart TV and a fridge. This room has views of the Stock ghyll and Water wheel. Please note this room is accessed via three flights of stairs.

Room 3 on the second floor, is a double size room, with en suite shower room, smart TV and a fridge. The room has stunning views of the of the Old Bridge House and panorama of the Fairfield horseshoe.
