Accommodation Manager & Head House Keeper
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Accommodations Manager & Head Housekeeper to join our friendly hospitality team. This is a hands-on, dual-role position combining high-quality housekeeping with front-of-house reception duties, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in excellent customer service.

Housekeeping
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness across guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas
- Prepare and inspect rooms prior to guest arrivals
- Manage laundry, linen, and housekeeping supplies
- Report maintenance issues and ensure health & safety standards are met
- Support and oversee housekeeping operations on a day-to-day basis
- Train and supervise housekeeping staff.
- Manage the housekeeping team, including delegating tasks, and ensuring effective communication between staff members to maintain smooth operations.
Reception & Accommodations Management
- Welcome guests warmly and manage check-ins and check-outs
- Handle bookings, enquiries, and guest requests in person, by phone, and email
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
- Handle all guest and business data with strict confidentiality, respecting privacy and ensuring sensitive information is protected at all times.
- Provide local information and ensure guests have an enjoyable stay
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Proactively manage a range of booking channels, including online travel agents (OTAs), direct bookings, and local partnerships, to maximise visibility and boost occupancy rates. Regularly update listings, respond promptly to enquiries, and adjust pricing strategies to remain competitive within the market.
- Carry out regular market analysis to ensure pricing remains competitive and reflects seasonal trends, local events, and occupancy rates. Utilise dynamic pricing tools to adjust rates in real time, offering special promotions or discounts during off-peak periods to maximise revenue. Monitor competitor pricing and guest feedback to refine strategies, ensuring both profitability and guest satisfaction
- Develop marketing strategies to boost occupancy rates. Manage online presence, create special packages or events to attract guests for both the rooms and holiday lets.
- Track expenses, process payments, and maintain financial records for all properties. Assist accounts manager to generate regular financial reports and recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
- Monitor stock levels for linens, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other essentials. Place orders, track deliveries, and manage vendor relationships for the guesthouse and holiday lets.
- Regularly review and update the training manual to ensure all operational processes, policies, and procedures are accurately documented and reflect current best practices. Coordinate with relevant departments to capture changes and improvements, guaranteeing that staff receive clear, up-to-date guidance for every aspect of their role. Facilitate the communication of manual revisions to all team members and encourage feedback to further enhance training materials.
- Ensure that all guest and staff accommodation comply with all relevant health, safety, hygiene, and fire regulations.
- Oversee the condition, and maintenance of staff accommodation, ensuring all facilities are comfortable, well-kept, and compliant with legal and safety requirements. Address staff queries or concerns related to accommodation promptly and effectively.
- As a key member of the senior management team, the role involves collaborating closely with other department heads to shape strategic direction and drive the long-term success of the guest accommodations and holiday lets. This includes contributing to high-level decision-making processes, sharing insights on operational performance, and supporting the implementation of company-wide initiatives. The position requires a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork across all areas of the business.
Previous experience in hospitality, housekeeping, or reception (preferred)

The role of kitchen & hot food cook is divided between responsibilities in the main kitchen and the café hot food area. In the kitchen, cooks focus on preparing and cooking a wide variety of food to feed up to our service kitchen and takeaway departments, ensuring food hygiene standards are upheld, recipes are followed precisely, and dishes are served at the correct temperature. Attention to detail and efficient teamwork are crucial in this fast-paced environment.
